UCLA Class of 2015 Official Results Thread!

I just got a letter from UCLA College of Engineering that said decisions come out mid to late march, so I think 12th-15th would be good dates for when they start coming out. Anyway, I went to the admissions decision site and it said that you should be able to login again when admission decisions are out, so just check that.

mid is 15th and late is 31st, so I guess from Mar 15-31

there was a record number of applicants this year so the 12th doesn't sound so plausible.

# of applicant goes up, but does the quality of applicants go up? From what I've seen at my average to below average public SoCal HS, I'm gonna say, probably not.

^agreed, the decisions are more likely to come on the 11th than the 12th because its a friday.

From digging through threads, UCLA released decisions last year on the 12th, the year before on the 18th, for the class of 2012 on the 19th, and I couldn't find the results threads for previous years.

so the 2nd friday last yr, 3rd wed. in 2009, 3rd wed. in 2008, and the last thursday of march in 2007 (the 29th). I hope it not as late as the 29th. My prediction is wed. the 16th. but I'm hoping for this friday.

Do decisions not usually come on the weekends? I sure as hell am hoping for this Friday too. Haha.

How long after the online decision does the letter usually come? I'm way too scared to check online. xD

Even though I'm desperately holding on to the earl date of the 12th, I do remember when the UCLA rep came to my school and said they wouldn't release decisions till after 3pm so that students weren't leaving school to check. So that makes me think weekday. Ugh. Why can't they just say what day?!

^somebody usually finds out like 1 to 2 days before decisions are released and posts the info on CC. So we'd probably have a couple days notice.

It takes a couple weeks, if you're accepted. If you're rejected there's no letter.

Hey guys just to make sure there is no personnal accounts for ucla like my uci ( for uc irvine) to log onto check the admission status, We just use our uc app # and birthday to check our status the day the decision comes out righ

What would you guys say about the strength of UCLA's engineering school, particularly in the computer science / electrical engineering departments?

My D got in last year and they sent out the admission decision emails at 5:00 pm PST on Friday March 12th. This year my D spoke to a professor who takes emails from prospective students and said he was turning off his email this Friday March 11 as he will not take any more prospective student emails when the decision site goes live.

So I would venture to say this Friday, March 11th at 5:00 pm PST check your email! If you are admitted you will receive the large envelope the following week.

FYI - all decisions were made by Jan/Feb. The School of Theatre, Film and Television has interviews and auditions through Feb. and at the info sessions they gave they stated that they are the last school to decide because of auditions/interview but that all other admission decisons for all other schools had been made.

Omg so it seems as if decisions do come out this Friday.
I really hope they come out earlier than 5 PST because I have work... I'm already thinking of creative ways to check my phone at that time.
