Taking Graduate Level Classes as an Undergraduate

Does anyone know if this is allowed and if so what the guidelines are? I know some schools allow undergrads to take graduate courses, but I don't think UCLA is one of them - or if it is I couldn't find any information through Google. Is the only way to be able to take graduate classes as an undergrad to be in the honors college/scholar's program or do you need to see an adviser? I'm in a STEM field if that matters. I was just wondering if there are any GPA requirements, petitions, or standard procedures to be able to do this or if it is simply not possible. I will be graduating a year early with a major and a minor so I wanted to know if I could possibly just stick around a 4th year taking grad classes and wait until the last quarter to completely finish my major.

At least the CS department, it's allowed. You just need instructor consent.

It's up to the department. Just email the professor teaching the class and either they'll let you in or they won't.

Alright, thanks guys. So it has nothing to do with the department/college regulations? It just depends on the instructor teaching the class? That sounds great.

College regulations aren't a problem. Department might be, but the instructor will know them.
