The 110L section I wanted is full. Should I still sign up for the waitlist or should I just sign up another section? How likely isit that I will get it?

I have to take CS 31 because LS3 is closed =(. So I was wondering, how quickly does CS31 fill up this quarter when non CS/EE take it? The first lecture is full and the second one is open and I was thinking about signing up for it during my second pass.

Thank you!

word... Flopsy, do you know who to e-mail to get into the 15-capped classes (or just whomever does the processing for classes and gives out the PTE). I feel like they reserved portions of these discussions. Only 4 left in the lecture 1, and i'm pretty sure I'd rather go to the 2-4 lecture. Worse comes to worse though, I can just go to the 2 o'clock lecture and take exams in the other one.

CS 31 doesn't fill up as fast during Winter Quarter.

You have to e-mail the professor of your desired lecture directly. That's the way it's done in CS upper-division lectures, at least. Only the professor can obtain the PTE numbers.

does the major affect your chances

hey i plan on applying as electrical engineering, but i really don't know if i will get in. and i was just wondering if i applied as electrical as my major, but undeclared social science as my alternate... is it possible i could get rejected from henry samueli school of engineering but then get accepted to UCLA still??? I really need to know because this can really affect my chances of getting in. also, is it posssible to go into ucla undeclared, then still do engineering?
THNX!

Thanks flopsy, Rohr e-mailed me back.

As for adrian's second question - if you apply into engineering in you first quarter (once you're accepted as a college of letters and sciences), they'll look at your high school stats to determine if you're cut for the program.
