(CULVER CITY, CA) May 11th, 2007 Cliff Galiher, a 20-year-old History major at UCLA, took first place in the prestigious 2007 Jeopardy! College Championship, taking home $100,000 in cash winnings. Galiher emerged victorious after a two-week competition by outscoring 14 undergraduates from across the country, including contestants from Harvard, Yale, Stanford and USC. The special series of episodes were taped at the recently completed Galen Center on the campus of the University of Southern California.

I watched his first episode where he "lost" to Michigan and kicked Harvard's butt. But I didn't bother to watch any of the other episodes. I should congratulate him in our discussion for film class this week.

I am sure the people at 'SC are less than happy that a Bruin won it all the way.

USC also competed, but as the 'norm' goes they lost. Was that too mean to say?

lol i just told my friend, a recent SC graduate, about the dude and his accomplishment. said friend tried out for college jeopardy last year and almost made it through (but alas, didn't).

he's very, very unhappy.
