For those who live 5+ miles away from UCLA and don't drive: how do you get to campus from home?

Which direction are you coming from? There are Metro and Santa Monica buses that run both directions on Wilshire Blvd.

What time do those buses stop running? (I heard 5PM.) I'm not sure where I'll be coming from since I'm still looking for a new place to live in. The reason I ask is because I'm having trouble finding a private room that's within walking distance to UCLA.

no way the busses stop at 5pm. some lines run 24 hours, other lines run to about midnight. they just come with less frequency after peak times.

The Blue Bus and the Metro stop running through the Ackerman stop at least until 6PM. It then passes through the other end of the UCLA campus.

The Metro also runs towards Gayley, and it stops there even past midnight. This is walkable distance from the apartments.
