Math 3 book and solutions manual

so i serached the IBSN code..but it gives me a book with a different publisher and different year..its still the 2nd edition though soo hmm im fonfused. is it a mistake on ucla's webiste ? also how important is it to have a solution' s manual? should i spend $20 more on a book with a solutions manual?

Does the solutions manual come with the textbook on the website? If so, its packaged that way by UCLA and has a different ISBN#.

Yes, definitely buy the solution's manual. It'll make life easier. Where is Jinobi? He took the 3 series. I'm sure he would agree.

From what I managed to figure out, it looks like when you search your books it gives you three options for the Math 3 series.

Option 1: Book and SSM packaged together
Option 2: Book
Option 3: SSM

Option 1 is a UCLA only ISBN, option 2 works anywhere, and option 3 works anywhere.

Well, you only need to get the book. It's still "Calculus for Biology and Medicine, 2nd Edition" by Claudia Neuhauser, ISBN 0130455164.

The SSM is useless, for the most part. The solutions usually take the long way of doing things, or are just incorrect. Your TA will usually do the problems you need in class, and you can always ask the professor or your TA during their office hours to see how to do the problems.
