Uhh, you mean the email or the admissions? You shouldn't be able to access your admissions page anyways o_O;;

they send you a letter telling you that they recommend you to UCLA undergrad... and undergrad makes a decision in the end, but most people that got the letter will get in

I applied to bioengineering too, and no, I haven't received anything yet. It's only the beginning of February.
So I guess because the letter from the engineering school isn't official, we can't exactly say we got into UCLA when/if we receive it?

The letter isn't official, but it seems as though all engineers that got in not via appealing/transfer got it. Basically, if you feel your application was strong in the first place, and got the letter, you can generally expect to get an official admissions later in March. If you're borderline..well, it's still an incredibly large chance of getting in.

decisions don't come til March. if you don't hear anything until then, that's normal.
engineering students may get a letter recommending admission to the school, but HSSEAS is not part of the admissions process. whether an engineering applicant gets the letter or not has little to do with the final decision - just because you don't get it doesn't mean you're rejected or even likely to be rejected, just because you do doesn't mean you're in.
