http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Prospect/APCreditLS.htm says that you get credit for General Chem. Since it doesn't mention a course number, I think it's safe to assume you still have to take Chem 14A. But it does boost your class standing, at least.

Plus, if you already know the material, why worry? Shouldn't 14A be an easy A?

Edit: She took the sex and gendered biology cluster. My experience was with the history of modern thought cluster, which is also the cluster that liyana took.

can someone answer my question?

Is it possible to double major across schools? Like across CLS and SAS? I didn't find anything about that specifically on the website and I have been navigating it for the last 45 minutes.

boo. i don't want to take chem 14A.

i need to start chem series over summer and they only offer it session A when i want to do session C... it's not offered next quarter... and so i guess i have to wait til fall.

but chem 14A is requisite for LS2, so i'd have to wait til WINTER to take LS2!!! this is so sucky >.<

you don't need LS2 for chem 14A... http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedu...m=07F&session= nothing under enforced requisites...

the history of modern thought? it's a lot of work. i think unless you really enjoy reading a lot of very dense philosophy, it's gonna be tough.

gawd i hated HMT. i only liked my spring seminar.

DO NOT TAKE THAT CLUSTER IF YOU ARE PSYCH. it's such a repeat of everything you will learn in LS 15 and anthro 7 and your philosophy class. waste of time. i wrote some damn good poetry in that lecture though

hopefully this wasn't answered already, but i didn't really read thru all of the posts.

i just checked my FAO and there's a link that says "no requests" but when i mouse over it, a box shows up that basically says "we don't have your FAFSA". But theres another link that says provisional letter or something (not sure exact words and don't feel like checking) and when you mouse over it, it just says that theres a letter for you to read. so i clicked "access" and it gave me my ePAL. with ucla costs, aid in grants, and aid in work study and loans. at the top of the page it says that its just an estimate. but i looked at the website and i think it says that eFAN doesn't come out till right before the term starts....I am assuming that they received my fafsa anyway. is there another ePAL coming out or when do i know my real finaid package? oh, and if i have an outside scholarship, when and to whom do i report it?

^ No. You're evil. If you don't mind doing a little extra work, you can get 5 classes out of the way for the price of three. Also the Spring seminar is usually an easy A.
