its the same max units. when you petition to double major, you have to work out a course plan on paper that fits within the unit cap to get it approved.

i heard they (they being honors counselors for those in the honors program) were lenient in granting approval to honors students if they show they can complete everything in four years (for 1st years entering)

About my previous question, I was just asking since it's a very big campus... you still have to walk even if your classes are on the other side of campus? 10 minutes surely isn't enough...

10 min is enough, I can walk from de neve to young hall in 10 min(super fast walk tho) i can get from franz(south campus) to bunche hall which is one of the further north campus building...
for friends it really depends on who you meet and how well you attempt to know them, there are "friends" i know by just knowing their name and saying hi when I see them and there are friends I hang out with... but overall just be nice and try to make friends its not hard at all...
