| can anyone of you tell me whether if its very easy to obtain tickets to the home football game? I heard from penn state that they only sell 25% of the tickets to the students. is that also true to ucla? |

| 1. What is a typical 1st quarter schedule for a Pre- Biz Econ major who has passed out of Econ, Stat, Euro History, Calculus, and Spanish?
2. Sorry if this has already been asked - is it a big issue if you don't have a car?
3. Are roommates interchangable? As in, if student A meshes better w/ student B, and student c meshes better w/ student D, are you allowed to "trade" accordingly? |

| 2. Yes. Being without a ride sucks at UCLA. (my opinion)
3. Yes, but it's not a very easy process. |

| No, but it has political science with an IR focus and an international development studies major.
However, for "pure" IR work, you'll have to do the poli sci major with an IR focus. (Which, contrary to popular belief on this board, is pretty much the same thing for most purposes.) |

| I think the term you're looking for is spa, as most people refer to bathhouse as a place where gay men have sex. There is no spa at ucla but you can find them in westwood |

| Hey everyone! Lol, thanks for putting up with our newbie questions and offering your advice. : )
Anyway, I was wondering about the parking situation at UCLA for freshman. Is it even possible to get parking through the University? If not, do you know of any semi-safe lots nearby that I can pay to leave my car at? |

| Two questions to current bruins:
1) Do you guys/girls know anyone in bioengineering or materials engineering? If so, how difficult are the courses (not too tough to get an A?) and how are the job prospects?
2) What housing did you guys/girls stay at for the first year and how does it compare to other first-year housing options? Did you guys have to sign up early to get the housing you want?
3) Is it any harder/easier to get into business or law school with an engineering degree from UCLA vs. an engineering degree from Cal (since Cal seems to have a better ranked engineering program).
Thanks! Hopefully I'll be a bruin next school year |

| I can answer 3 with some accuracy...
No, it won't matter much. The most important factors for admission to b-school and law school are standardized test scores, GPA, and in the case of the former, work experience. Degree name is pretty minor in the numbers game. Especially between two such similar schools. |
