summer class prereqs

so i want to take a writing II equivalent at a local community college this summer, but there's a prereq to that class. the prereq is the equivalent of eng comp 3 here, which i passed out of my first year. both the class i want to take and its prereq are transferable (from assist.org). does this mean that i can take my class without having to go through the prereq at the CC...what do i usually have to do to show that i'm qualified to take the class i want? i'm a newbie at this CC-UC class transfer thing...

thanks.

You'll probably have to send them your UCLA transcript and note the class that you've taken which is going to be used for credit. Ask their admissions office about what they need, and then order the transcript.

Side question: would it be better to take the Writing II class at a local CC or just do it at UCLA?

I'm trying to decide if I should do it over the summer at CC or take it here at UCLA...I heard that it's sort of difficult and so I'm thinking better to fulfill it elsewhere then get a B or something here...

If you're an engineer, ethics now covers writing II for those with catalog year Fall 2005-Present.

Otherwise, I'm not sure
