| UCLA or Cal? lol i know this has come up at least a thousand times but for a decision that will change 4 years of my life, i just have to ask for some advice
i plan to major in business and yes i know that ucla only has biz econ and cal has haas
but what im concerned with is experience
i hear you have to be a sports fan to enjoy ucla
is that true? because i am not very interested in sports. i like playing it, dont like watching it.
i would want to choose a college that would give me the most fun and experience
what do you guys think?
oh btw i've visited both i like both campuses i like both cities, westwood slightly more tho, and the reputation of berkeley is very bothering
any insight? |

| If you're from LA, go to Cal. If you're from the Bay Area, go to UCLA.
Or just flip a coin and let chance decide. Then you have nobody to blame but the infernal laws of physics. |

| If you're positive you want to do biz, go to Cal; Haas is one of the top in the world
I'm not sure what you mean by "the reputation of Berkeley is bothersome." What reputation? It's a great college town; different that Westwood, less clean, but more cultural. I'd tend to say that Berkeley has more of an intellectual feel, while UCLA has more of an athletic feel. Does this mean you have to be an athlete to enjoy UCLA? Of course not. But it just has that "feel." Berkeley and Westwood are both known to be great college towns, up there with the Ann Arbors, Chapel Hills, and Cambridges.
Both colleges and towns will be fun and exciting, Like any university, the experience will be what you make of it.
Good luck! |
