| I've made my decision but what do you guys think? Hey, so I had to turn down many colleges including a bunch of UCs, UWashington, and U of I Urbana. (my UCLA major: Comp. Science Engineering)
I turned down Regents and CHP at Irvine for UCLA because I just like UCLA better and it is my first choice. But... would you guys have done it without thinking twice? Or would Regents and CHP really be worth considering? |

| I would turn down UCI regents for UCLA in a heartbeat (nothing against UCI, just not my type). Good decision! |

| I would strongly consider either UIUC and UCLA for CS. How did you decide between the two? |

| BoelterHall:
It was hard deciding between these two. First of all, the cost would be the same for me, since I'm an international. Then again, I like UCLA's weather and location compared to UIUC and UCLA seems to have a better overall reputation and name.
People who turned down regents:
Yeah, I basically decided to go with UCLA after I didn't get into Berkeley. I sent in the SIR and housing stuff two weeks before and haven't looked back. Today I was declining the offers and I also saw a post from someone at the UCI forum saying how "great" the CHP benefits are and how he/she declined Berkeley's offer last year etc... So I was just wondering... |

| i turned down berkeley's regents too. its the lowest monetary amount among all the uc regents scholarships and the package of incentives for the regents at other ucs are more enticing (or at least ucla's)

| I turned down UCI regents too...I wasn't even considering going there unless I got rejected everywhere else lol. I just didn't really like the campus and it didn't feel right for me. |

| i turned down davis regents, chose not to go to berkeley (no regents there tho), and didn't even apply to irvine lol.
it was hard to choose between here and davis (i'm from norcal). but when i visited davis, i was like, "this is nice. i could go here." when i visited UCLA, i thought, "i really can't turn this down to go to davis..."
it's just a feeling you get. no one knows it but you. |
