Questions about payment

So I got my housing offer and when I go to accept it, it tells me I need to pay a certain sum by June, and then I'll be charged monthly once the school year starts. I'm confused, however, because I was planning on taking a loan and just assumed that the loan would pay for everything at once.

So how exactly do I pay? Do I have to pay for the initial payment myself and then the loan will reimburse me? Also, I'm awaiting the results of some scholarships, and I don't think they'll come out before June 2nd. How does that factor into the payment?

Thanks in advance.

Where do I do that? I just clicked through the application, but stopped at the signature page because I'm not sure if that's the last screen before I confirm.

And I won't get any financial aid, and don't want to use UCLA's loan to pay; I was planning on taking a loan at my local bank and using that to pay.

i tried putting the financial aid option but it says i'm not qualified (although i am going to recieve financial aid). Does this mean that I have to pay the initial payment out of pocket??

You have to fill out a loan here:

https://opennet.salliemae.com

Then when you complete the loan application and it gets processed, the money for the loan will be deposited into your BAR account.

That is the website UCLA uses for the Stafford/PLUS loans. There was a link to it on one of the financial aid pages. You sign up, fill out your loans, and then you have to wait until it processes. Then when it processes the money is deposited into your BAR account. When you're asked how much of a loan you want, make sure to use the amount the eFAN gave you for the PLUS loan, or less if you don't want all of it. You're entitled up to that amount.

you didn't sign up for a double.
you said you preferred a double.
but seeing as you're a freshman, and seeing as how roughly 85% of freshmen are in triples, you just got what we all said you'd get. a triple.

they won't change it just cuz you said you want a double. if you submit a CAR and have a legit reason, then maybe. but don't count on it.
