AP Literature Test

I am wondering whether it is necessary for me to take the AP Literature test this year as a senior in high school. I will be enrolling at UCLA in the fall. I received a 4 on the AP Language and Composition test last year, and since there is a maximum of 8 credits, and I am excused from the two English/writing requirements already, I was wondering if there is any reason for me to take the AP Literature test.

Are there any other things it may cancel me out of, in terms of credits or courses, that are not listed on the website? I am still unsure of my major.

i dont think there is any reason to take it. i got a 4 also on Lang and i really dont wanna take Lit tomorrow..its gonna suck hardcore. the only reason im going is because i dont want an asterisk on my record and because i dont wanna waste my money. if i knew from the beginning I was going to UCLA, i would have definitely not taken it.

credit wise, im pretty sure Lit is useless if you already got a 4 on Lang. it gives no credit and no units for both letters and sciences and engineering when i checked.

^you don't have to take it. i was in the same position my senior year. had a 4 in language, and saw no point of taking lit. i did NOT take the test, and everything is fine for me.

you don't have to take it... but if you do, at least you get out of class and you can commiserate with your fellow students after the test rapes you
i took it in '06... man that version was so out of left field. the smartest girl in our class was actually drawing handprint turkeys on the extra paper...
