are the supplementary readings for 14bl in the 14a and b bks recommended to read for test purposes? or would reading them be a waste of time? i never read 'em so far, but idk how i'll do...yet.

I think I opened the 14b book once, in the first week of class. Scerri ftw, you just have to understand everything in the reader.

Lavelle's reader is a piece of ****. Hardinger's thinkbook and lec supp, on the other hand, are worth their weight in gold.

im talking about the textbook's usefulness in 14bl; i've already taken 14a and b. but thanks!

will the 14a and 14b books be the same next year? i've got ppl down to sell 'em to them but i don't want to sell the wrong books.

i didn't think the textbooks were helpful at all in 14bl, so i don't think you'll really need them!

it depends. there is no textbook for 14 lab series that has strictly gen chem material. the exams for the lab series IS focused on the actual labs, but there are points that are associated with straight gen chem topics (acids/bases comes up a lot). so the textbook (Atkins im assuming) would be helpful if you need brushing up on some topics.
