Sweet. I'll be at the 202 one also.

And one question to tack onto Boy's: are we going to have time to go back to our cars and get your laptops when it comes time for class registering, or do we need to lug them around with us all day? I would think we'd have time, but hey, never assume right?

Biggest waste of time I have ever been to. Half the people in my small group were ESL transfer students who I don't see managed to even complete their essays properly. The ONLY benefit was meeting a really cute girl and registering for classes. UCLA feels the need to baby you and endlessly regurgetate information readily available as to spoon feed it to you. Almost everyone who even knows CC will know all the information and more compared to what they give you at orientation. FYI if I were you I would bring a laptop and not show up to the mini registration sessions. As long as you register as showing up for orientation URSA will open at 8 pm and you should register right then if you want the exact recitation times you need. I did that on my blackberry and people who registered like at 8:10 because they had to wait to register with their groups lost out. Just some advice, good luck!

Soo, do we have time to grab your computers before sign-ups then? Sucks to hear that it's not all that good. That's what I feared. Guess us 202ers will have to make it fun. Mwahaha.

To be honest I didn't try and get to know that many people there but it was early and people were generally very cliquish, not to mention the workshops were useless so everybody was pretty bitter about the long useless day. What I would do is put a laptop in your car and then go to your car like at 7:30, load it up and make sure you get a wireless signal, test out the internet. Then come 8:00 log on to URSA and register for classes. You should write down the 9 digit code for each class you want ahead of time and then register for em real quick, almost every orientation group only started registering like at 8:05 and they register one at a time so with 10 people they draw numbers because there is only one laptop or sometimes two laptops, either way you could be screwed have have to wait until like 8:30 to register. Good luck.

So how does registration at orientation work? And when in the three days does it take place? Is there ample counselor time before registration time? I really want to seize registration and try to get classes ASAP.

I haven't looked at the schedule at all. -- Are you a transfer student or were you a UCLA student who is now going into film?
