Transfers into Film & Television

For anyone who's already gone through the process of transferring into the TFT school their junior year:

When it comes to the classes listed under "preparation for major" are we going to be required to take those classes if we haven't already at our previous college, assuming we've completely satisfied the IGETC?

Also, are the three literature classes still required despite fulfilling the IGETC?

And foreign language? What exactly is "level three"? Is that three quarters of a foreign language? And I'd take it that the two years in high school won't fulfill that, eh?

Hehe, sorry for all the pesky questions

three quarters, yes.

doesn't matter what you did in high school, class wise. what matters is test score results, whether it be AP language test or placement test.

so if you never took, say, spanish in high school, but manage to self-study enough to place into spanish 4 (thereby getting credit for spanish 1-3), you'd be done with your requirement.

"Students who transfer from a California community college and have completed the IGETC do not have to complete the School's GE and writing requirements. Students choosing this option must complete the IGETC entirely prior to entry or they will be required to complete the school's plan. Please note: Students choosing this option must also complete the School's foreign language and literature requirements."

Dammit. It doesn't seem right. The IGETC is suppose to protect transfers from having to take all these superfluous classes. I can't get get all the TFT required classes, lit ones, and foreign language done my junior year -- even if I overload. We can take some of this stuff senior year, I hope, right?
