Math 31a or Econ 1?

Hey guys! I just came back from orientation 101, but I'm having second thoughts about my schedule. So far I have:

Eng. Comp 3 w/ Samuels
History 2c (Religion, Occult, Witchcraft, etc) w/ Ruiz
Math 31 A w/ Brown
Fiat Lux- Mapping out the 2008 Presidential Election

I'm a Pre-Bus Econ major. I'm thinking of switching Math to Econ and taking math second quarter. I need to take Econ 1 & 2 this year for a transfer agreement and I was wondering which one (math or econ) would be easier for me first quarter, seeing how it is my first year.

The econ 1 professor is bresnock, if that helps. Heard she was easy, but I don't know much about the courseload. Whereas math 31a has a good professor but difficult courseload. Help? :/

I would go with Math first because, for me, it was much easier than Econ. The first quarter you want to give yourself some breathing room and time to adjust to college.

Econ 1 with Bresnock is alright. She is a great professor because she drills the concepts into your brain, but you can't miss a single lecture if you want to do well since her lecture notes are only partial and you need to attend class to fill in the blanks. The courseload isn't bad at all. A midterm, a final and two computer projects. This class doesn't require homework on a daily basis, you just need to attend class. I just remember studying for the tests was miserable for me

I bet that Fiat Lux will fill up quickly! Sounds pretty cool. But with political classes you can really get fed up with teachers/profs who are stubborn about their own ideologies and opinions. I hope it goes well!

Thanks allysaurus. I needed to make a quick decision so that really helped.

And yea, the Fiat Lux is really interesting. However only 3 people (w/ 20 spots) signed up @ orientation. I expected more, but then again, not everyone is interested.
