^Uh no way. They're sort of private and I'm not comfortable with placing them on an open forum

Yet you're comfortable PM'ing them to complete strangers?

^You wouldn't be more comfortable sending it to a person whose probably in UCLA already and knowing that unless he/she distributes the essay, they're the only one whose eyes have been on it?

Get off his back.

Well, if you don't want to post here, then maybe you should just go the source. Email your essays to pope@vatican.org. Otherwise, just post them here, knowing that no one knows who you are.

It's not about anyone knowing who I am. Please don't ruin whatever impression I have of UCLA by failing to see the simple logic behind why I choose not to post admissions essays that have yet to be submitted on an open online forum.

I'm going to help you out here with some friendly advice:

CC doesn't want to read papers because it's filled with 2 main types of people:
1) College students. They don't want to do more work than they already have from school, and most didn't ask for help online with essay writing, so they aren't exactly inclined to provide it.

2) High School students. They don't want to increase the level of their competition, or they can't write, or they are too busy writing their own essays to bother reading random strangers' essays.

Either way, you're better off asking teachers/family members with writing skills.

I might suggest that you post your request to read essays on the Parent page. There are many very helpful people posting there and they probably have more time than most college students. Most are very well educated and have helped one or more of their own children with the application process.

Just write that you really want to get in. And for your second essay write that you REALLY REALLY want to get in.
