24 year old UCLA transfer student

I'm going to be 24 years old when I transfer to UCLA and am wondering if my age will negatively affect my college experience. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I'm 28, in my first quarter at UCLA, and no one gives me a second glance. You'd be surprised at the age-range here. As UCLA accepts more transfer students than any other UC (in other words, there's a higher upper-division to lower-division demographic), the median age in upper-division classes is probably somewhere around what you are (24 or 25).

The 24 year old transfer I know looks like hes getting the experience (lots of friends, involvement in clubs, etc).

You'll be fine and have tons of fun.

If you are afraid primarily bc of how others will perceive you, don't be. I doubt anyone will think you are older (unless you really act it).

Although I should respond that you are probably at the age where you can get f*ucked up at parties and no one would think twice because everyone will probably think you're a senior. I (and most people 25 and older) don't really have that luxury, but it all depends on which party and where.
