got accepted, but what to do

hey everyone. i got accepted to uc merced. on my application i put as my planned classes for summer:

phys 1b
phys 1c
math 191
bio 10

the bio is general ed but the other 3 are for my major (compuer science). the problem is the 2 physics classes are not offered this summer at my CC. and even if i found another cc that offered them, its a series (im taking 1a rihgt now) which means id have to take the equivalent of all 3 during the summer.... so as you can see this is not likely to happen. what do i tell merced? and will they rescind me if i simply have my physics series incomplete at time of transfer?

hey again everyone. i was pretty much planning on just ignoring my acceptance to merced for fall, go back to ccc for fall, and transfer to a more prestigious uc in the winter. however today i just got an award letter from merced, and basically if i go to their school they will pay for everything (free ride). all i have to do is accept it. its guaranteed, and if i try to transfer in the winter, theres no guarantee that other uc's will accept me, and its even harder to tell because many of the uc's i plan on applying to may not even accept winter transfers

so now this changes my view of going to merced. now i think i may actually go, but i stil have a problem with trying to get all my classes completed before fall

If you attend a CCC, there IS a guarantee you get to transfer to a better UC... You just need 60 units (semester) by the time of transfer and a 3.3ish cumulative GPA finishing IGETC and your pre-reqs. There is a way less chance you will be accepted into an upper tier UC if you transfer from another UC. Also, it is harder to get a higher GPA in a 4 year institution vs a community college.

@ theydidntnameme

If I were you, I would disclose that I would not be able to finish the required courses. If they sent you a full ride acceptance, they obviously want you here. Just disclose everything, call up admissions, and work out a deal. Everything should be fine.

Theoretically, yes. With that attitude, you're just setting yourself up for failure. Get a 4.0 wherever you go.
