Medical Research at UCR?

How hard is it to find research opportunities at UCR? I know there isn't a medical school yet, but is research available?

It is a UC of course there is research available . Seriously, if your want to get into medical school, it all comes down to your GPA then volunteer work, research, and LORs. Don't even worry about research, I can assure you that GPA will be more important, study, talk to your professor, join some clubs that interest you. All the pieces will fall right in, with the clubs, you will find hospitals volunteering opportunities, doctor shadows available, and research.

I am sure they do. I think all UCs have them, since biological science major is basically pre-med so they should.

Would being in the honors program be a benefit for getting into medical school?
