What happens if I only take 10 units this quarter?

I'm a freshmen at UCR in BCOE and i'm currently taking 14 units but i'm thinking about dropping a class. But that would mean i'm only taking 10 units and I heard that I need to take 12 units to qualify as a full time student.

Help please!

you will not be considered a full time student anymore, and this may affect your financial aid and your living situation. you gotta ask your ra and the financial aid office.
