That's depressing. Is there any specific reason [besides low GPA] that I will not be chosen?

Also, according to Collegeboard, I'm on the right track with pretty much everything but EC's. I mean, it says the 26% of admissions had a GPA between 3.0 and 3.24.

*** that guy was lying man

your SAT, for a person at Riverside, is rather high

GPA isn't as high but it's pretty good

These are my stats -

GPA unweighed - 3.0
SAT - 2260
So, I had a higher SAT but my GPA was whack

and since you're online now you should refresh lol

extracurriculars should help, but I dunno...they seem sorta minimal compared to SAT/GPA. Mentioning them in your essay might help.

and btw, admissions don't take AP scores into account

Wow, thank you. You have no idea how much of a burden that first post was. I was walking around with a heavy heart ever since I read that part.

I know that AP scores aren't taken into account, but I'm sure that the fact that I have taken AP classes will [burden of 4/6 classes being AP].

wow that guy is so full of crap

I got in with 3.4 weighted GPA and a 1620 on my SAT not to mention a D and F in my math class junior year. And only one club for ec's and virtually no volunteering hrs or work experience.

Please your GPA and test scores are good enough to get into UCSC, maybe couple of the mid-tier UCs like Irvine,SB, or Davis

I think...I love you guys.

But on a more serious note, thank you for answering seriously. I guess the first poster was probably just having a bad day and needed to vent on someone. Or maybe he/she was joking.

It's pretty easy, maybe it's the fact that i'm a Political Science major and haven't had to take any math or science classes yet...but it's pretty easy as long as you read the book and listen in class.
