Can anyone tell me a little bit about each major and the similarities and differences because im trying to decide between the two!!! I want to do cheme but rankings show its not that good at ucsd and does that even matter? I know chemical engineering used to be part of the mechanical engineering dept so does that mean its not that good if it wasn't a stand alone department?
