I have a microwave (over 600 watts) and a halogen lamp.
Who, when, and how do they usually inspect our dorm room?

I know a halogen lamp is prohibited but I that's what I have unless they want me to bring a table lamp (the one you put on a nightstand).
Is it even possible to hide them?

for me, at erc, they just walk through your room, open your closet door, take a few seconds to look around, then they're out. if you have stuff to hide just put it under ur bed or under ur blankets lol. they usually post a paper telling you when they will be conducting inspections.

To my knowledge, I have never been inspected o__O unless they chose not to inform me about it. What.

both years i lived on campus in muir, we never were formally inspected. however, if our HA (same as RA), were to walk by and see that we had a full-sized fridge and an industrial microwave, etc. he/she would issue a warning.

Hey.I was unable to attend the house rules meeting because of an emergency. Can somebody summarize what is covered? I tried asking my other 3 roommates but they also missed it themselves! For example can we put a screw in the wall for our clothes hanger, microwave, hot pot, etc?

No you cant. Don't you need to reschedule a meeting with your RA/HA

My RA is gonna come by next week but my microwave is just a little bigger than the usual one. I don't think it's that easy to notice though unless he actually asks or looks at the back of my microwave.

hahah Just put alot of stuff/crap in front and ontop of the microwave so it'll make them not want to face the hassle of moving everything around and back .

haha yes that's a great idea. You know I don't think my RA is gonna be like Oh can I check your microwave's wattage on the back? Yeah so I think I am gonna make it a little messy. I have it underneath my desk. Thanks
