BA vs BS in CS admissions

Hi, it seems to be common knowledge that getting into engineering for a BS in computer science than arts and science for a BA in comp sci, but I can't find any evidence of this. (Statfinder shows that they are about the same.) Is one easier than the other to get into and does it matter which one you do?

thanks!

Umm I don't think either majors are impacted so you can get into either one. It shouldn't affect admission chances?

B.S. curriculum requirements are more rigorous than B.A. requirements. You can compare graduation requirements here:
BA Computer Science | Computer Science and Engineering, University of California San Diego
BS Computer Engineering Program | Computer Science and Engineering, University of California San Diego
I don't know if employers look at the two degrees differently. My older sibling & friends most definitely prefer a B.S. over a B.A. in CS though.

thanks --I heard that engineering was harder to get into than arts, but maybe that's wrong.

At UCSD your chances of getting into the university are not dependent on the major you pick. For other universities it's different.
