"This major is being evaluated for impacted status."?

Applying as a freshman to CS, what does this mean/how does this affect me? Should I just regard it the same as an impacted major? Or does it have no affect?

Hi, in your case, it would be best to treat CS as an impacted major. Put CS as your first choice and choose an alternate backup major just in case.

They may make it an impacted major which means if you don't apply for it now, you wouldn't be able to automatically switch into it later. However, if it does turn out to be impacted it won't affect your chances of getting into the university so definitely apply for it if you're thinking about it.
