People who already have a good knowledge of chemistry, or are very good at learning science at a quick/advanced pace.

It is not "hard" if you put in the effort to do well. However I would only take it if you actually like chemistry, and wouldn't mind learning more of the theory behind it. It is certainly possible to do well in the class even without AP/SAT II chem.

personally, I love chemistry, but my school doesn't have AP chemistry so therefore, I believe I would be at a great disadvantage when compared to the other kids (with AP Chem experience) who would take such a class. I only had 1 year of regular Chem.(A+ both semesters) so I'm kind of worried. Also, is this class a good idea if you want to be a biochem major?? I really need to get A's at UCSD because I really would like to go to med school and I don't want to take a class I can't get an A in.

i think you need to be really good at chem and ap chem would help a lot.
but theres lots of people taht do really well in the class...and some people that dont... so it all depends on you and how well you think you know chemistry and how good you are solving tricky chem questions...

it shouldnt be too bad

but honestly i'd just take chem6a because the extra trouble isn't worth it, besides grad schools won't take much (if any) notice at all
(unless you really love the subject, then knock yourself out)
