UCSD or UCI? - Page 2

Actually I haven't decided to go to UCSD yet because I am also considering U of A. The giganitic asian population is one of the turn offs because asians are so cliquish it isn't even funny. Easily U of A has the most white population ever and the girls are all tanned and absolutely gorgeous. I think I saw 1/50 were asian, 1/50 were black, and I dunno on the hispanics. Overall I think that the school is like 75% white which nicely coincides with my high school. 9/10 girls in California are cute, the 10th goes to UCSD.

I am pretty sure 75% is the largest white population one can realistically expect since it gels with the fact that 65% of the US is white (5% asian, 15% black, 15% hispanic). I don't get how 5% asian could have such a huge presence in Cali.

Dude - If you want to go to U of A, go to U of A. Nobody will mourn your loss. If your main concern is hooking up with hot girls, why not go to UCSB and try to strike some balance between academics and girls? Or, if you don't care at all about academics, go to an SEC school.

Perhaps the better question is why are you espousing this all over the UCSD message board? Look - go elsewhere if that's where you want to go, but I have a hard time believing you'll be hooking up with the hotties at U of A if your spending your time trolling UCSD's message board with this material.

Um...yeah look up what trolling actually means...the OP did mention that girls was a factor for him so I expanded on it with my commentary. And where did I talk about hooking up with girls at UA or caring about being mourned for not going to UCSD?

UCSB doesn't have a good engineering program so such much for that...

There is a hilarious "Yellow Fever" video floating on youtube that centers on the Asians at UCSD and how they are a dime a dozen...makes me laugh every time...or the video of Alums complaning about all the asians that can't drive their silver honda accords because they can't see left and right.

A) Don't get pedantic re: trolling. We both know that was a completely appropriate use of that term in context.

If so, is it a leap to impute "hooking up" as your intention? The mourning was in reference to my point - nothing you said - in stating that you should go to U of A if you want to.

I'll grant that you might be an exception, but engineers are generally not known for either social skills or game with the ladies.

i side with UCSD Alum on this one, but I think amateurcollegegu just wants some attention, even if it is the virtual kind. can't get enough in the real world?

unless you're paid to sit by a computer (which some of us are), you shouldn't even be on CC as often as you are.

2) UCSD is considered to be ugly by some people. I personally think it's beautiful but probably not as attractive as UCI.
3) UCI has cuter korean girls for sure. A definite plus!
But academic wise, its definitely UCSD.

I know this might sound strange, but you can actually go off-campus to meet women as well. Weird, huh?

U of A ranks a lot lower than UCSD, and UCSD is much better for engineering. Plus its in Tucson, compared to SD. A 20 minute drive to downtown San Diego isn't that bad to find your Aryan princess.

Are you being sarcastic? From my white perspective, nearly every asian girl is ugly. The only remotely good looking ones are supermodels and even those can't hold a candle to white supermodels. UCSD sets the bar lower by not only having asian girls, but all the rare white girls are fat-n-ugly or built-like-a-horse ugly too. So yeah, the girls are ugly there...oh so ugly.

UCSD itself has an ok campus. It isn't stunning or anything...kinda gloomy on cloudy days...mismatched architecture...etc. And another negative point is that the campus is massively spread out. But it has the beach I guess...at OVT you can eat lunch and watch people surf.

I find it amusing how lot's of threads in CC get so of topic from what the thread is meant for.
I would like to let everyone know that when I first learned about this site, I hoped to recieve invaluable first hand information about the schools I am considering. It's just sad how there are people who just want to pick a fight and grasp others attention.

sorry, ok i'm not really sorry to say this, but you're an idiot if you choose one college over the other just because one has slightly more korean girls. theres tons of asians at both SD and UCI. i don't think there's going to be a dire shortage of korean girls anytime soon...

so what if the girls are ugly? are you that stupid that just because the majority of girls are ugly, that you assume that there are no good looking girls at all? isn't that the same in the general population, not just college? just go outside and look around. chances are most people you see unless you're standing in a beauty pageant, are ugly. pretty just means that you're better looking than everyone else. if everyone is good looking, then you're average compared to them.

it's like an insult to the good looking girls who do go there. or is it just because they assume smart girls are ugly? that is totally not true. and it sucks if you are smart and pretty, because then girls are jealous of you and guys think you're better than them so they don't want you. i mean i know its doesn't happen but it would be nice if for once a guy cared more about a girls mind and personality than how pretty she was. looks are important, but what about everything else?

i mean why do guys always think that they deserve to date hot supermodels? seriously. it's like every man thinks that they are gods gift to women. they expect women to look perfect and to be subservient and always supportive and who cares if i treat you like crap because i will just tell you i love you.

and its disgusting when these ugly guys are like 'oh you shouldn't judge me by my looks judge me by who i am inside'. well yeah you do that and then you realize that they are ugly inside too!!!! and that if you were as ugly as them they wouldn't even look your way.
