| Revelle Questions! I'm gonna be a freshman at Revelle and so far everyone I've talked to has only told me negative things about it. Are the housing and food and GEs THAT bad? Whats GOOD about revelle??
Also, do you guys know how we can choose which hall we wanna reside in? like for me, i prefer argo or blake so is there any way I can push my preference? thanks |

| check the old threads. i'm a happy revelle graduate, and have mentioned this various times before.
there's a spot for "other preferences" given on the application; you can always try to put that, but no guarantees. the only surefire way i can think of is to say that you're anticipating surgery later in the year, may need an elevator for convenience, etc. i believe this would even remove the first-floor fleets from the pool of possible suites, as those are actually a few steps below ground level. |

| I'm also going to be in Revelle as a freshman this fall. Here's what I've heard:
Housing - Not as aesthetically pleasing as other colleges, although it is more spacious (which is more important IMO). Apparently the dorms are close to the lower div science buildings.
Food - Mediocre, but not terrible.
GEs - Revelle does have the most GEs, but a lot of them may overlap with your major depending on what it is. HUM is the only one that people seem to complain about, I hear it's a GPA killer...
I seriously doubt UCSD would want to screw over 1/6th of its students by making Revelle terrible. |

| HAHA I enjoy Revelle food, but that's because I get sick of my own dining hall (Muir)...and I love the convenience of POTS.
...Yeah I walk to Revelle at least 5 times a week... |

POTS = plaza on the side, never a difference between the two in timing |

| Rat-skellar or something?
Some random guy asked me where it was when I was at the old student center once and told me there used to be a restaurant named that, but he couldn't find it. |

| yeah, that used to be the Revelle College Center ... the original 'Why Not Here?' place was the little eatery next to Plaza. Renaming sucks. |
