Am I screwed

I am currently a undergrad student at ucsd. I took a course this summer at community college to fulfill breadth requirements and was forced to drop it and receive a "W" (withdrawal) grade because I now have to go to the east coast for the last week of the course for family (I did not know about this when i registered).

Will this hurt me? will ucsd find out about it? I never told them that i was taking this course. Will this W haunt me when I apply to grad school three years from now? Can I simply avoid it by never taking a class there again?

you have to send your transcript to them anyways so they could have given you credit, so just dont send it?

I think your integrity is worth more than worrying about a W in a community college course. Don't stress - send in the transcript and move on. I don't think anybody will care.

they don't.

i took a calc class between HS and college and got a C- in it ... never told UCSD, and i came in as a freshman, repeated the class, and got an A+. they'll never know, and have no right to poke around for your academic record at other institutions if you didn't grant them permission to do so.

ok good. thank you astrina, thats a big relief.

Speaking of calc, and seeing that you are an alumni, do you know if there is many people that complete the 10 series and go on to take 20 series? I thinking about changing my major.
