transfer

Hey.
I am trying to transfer from UCI to SD in a year. Im going to be a freshmen at Irvine this fall. And with AP credit, and some community college classes I have taken, I will have 40 units. Does anyone know who I can talk to besides the counselors, or know a good website for requirements and what not? And if anyone has gone through this process, I would greatly appreciate if you can walk em through it.

transfer to ucsd

as a transfer myself, two great tools i often used was assist.org and ratemyprofessors.com . assist.org shows what classes you need to take under a certain major that's transferable to a certain college. ratemyprofessors.com is exactly what it is; ratings of professors. don't be surprise to hear that professors can screw you over with their heavy accent, sometimes even inability to communicate effectively in english and whatnot. And also you can always call ucsd and ask for "relations with schools" and ask transfer questions there. good luck.

As a UC to UC transfer, assist didn't help much. You will have to follow UCI and SD's course plans very closely. I know both universities have course plans on their websites. The first two years will most likely be breadth requirements at UCI so look at SD's transfer requirements for your major and start looking for those classes at UCI.
