Which waitlist, Math 31AH or Math 20C?

Math 31AH and Math 20C each have one section that works out really well for me (timewise), but I'm not sure which to waitlist to guarantee a class. (If I do both, I've exceeded the 19.5 unit cap.)

Ideally I would be in Math 31AH, but I'm afraid the demand for that class is higher than the demand for Math 20C (proportional to total seats available). Right now I'm waitlisted on the Math 20C one as position #2 (because the other waitlist was longer before) but I'm not sure if I should give up my position to switch, because I really like the time and I don't know if I'm guaranteed into Math 31AH (I can't go this quarter *without* a math class). If I waitlist Math 31AH now, I will be position 3. If I try to go back to the Math 20C section though, I would be like position 9 or something. What should I do?

I know generally if there's two people on the waitlist, it's a guarantee "in", but I think that this may not apply for Math 31AH because there are only two sections open... does anyone have advice for me? Before the waitlist gets longer?

I don't know what MATH 31AH is, as they didn't offer that last year. Perhaps it's some equivalent to MATH 21 or something? Which they also stopped offering awhile ago.

Choose what you think is best for yourself, but don't put too much on your plate just yet--especially if this is your first quarter at UCSD. You'd be surprised how fast courses move.
