Psych Major which college?

I'm going to apply to UCSD as a psychology major and im wondering which college's GE's would be best suited for that major. My strengths lie in english, social sciences, and prob &stats.

Any help would be great

Not Revelle, haha.
I think maybe Marshall, Muir or Sixth?

thank you! I've heard Revelle is awful and am looking at Marshall, Waren, and ERC.

Anyone else?

Revelle isn't awful; it just includes a lot of GEs that for some majors is extraneous. However, Revelle wouldn't be a bad choice GE-wise for you, because a psychology degree requires calculus, and a variety of sciences (courses from biology, chemistry, and physics tracts), if I recall correctly.

I'm actually putting Revelle as my first choice since it overlaps with a lot of my Bio major requirements. I'll be done with most of my GE requirements just by following IGETC because the classes I took satisfy the equivalent GE classes you need to take in Revelle.

I was wondering: Is it possible to get rid of the humanities requirement at my JC? I was looking at ASSIST and it says you need to take 2 semesters of composition for humanities and then 2 semesters for just humanities. I will be done with that before I transfer.

However, on Revelle's site is says this under the Humanities sequence: "It is strongly recommended that students take the entire sequence at Revelle College. All incoming freshmen entering Fall 2009 and beyond will be required to take HUM 1 and HUM 2, and at least one course chosen from HUM 3, 4, or 5 in residence at UC San Diego. Students may transfer at most two courses from HUM 3, 4, and 5 from another institution, subject to approval by the College."

Does that even apply to transfer students?

I think you'll have to contact the college directly. I recall that transfer students are exempt from some GEs, but you'll have to look into that.

MrRevelle, I'm not sure, but I did have a transfer student in my Hum 1 class last year

Alright so I emailed Revelle's Academic Advising and they said that if I follow TAG/IGETC and take the courses that are approved on ASSIST for my CCC, then I'll be able to satisfy the humanities requirement and don't have to take it at UCSD.
