Be sure your leadership roles are two HUGE leader roles. President of ASB and captain of a sports team are huge. Being a secretary of NHS isn't that big of a deal. Your community hours need to be 200 hours within a two year span to get the full set of points. Otherwise, you have a pretty decent chance. Just improve that GPA.

You live in San Diego, right? If you went to a school like Morse or Lincoln I think you might get extra points for going to a school in the lower 40& tier, giving you an extra set of points (not sure exactly what schools--ask your counselor), and if your family makes under $60,000, then you might get even more points.

I don't think many people have commented because your post is a bit ambiguous. What classes did you take? Can you give us more information about your extra-curriculars? What SAT II's did you take? Did you take a lot of honors/AP classes? Ethnicity/gender/etc?

SAT 2s were Math 2 and Chemistry

Leadership - Eagle Scout, Co-founder of Math Tutoring Club ( I was told being ealge gets you a LOT of points)

Volunteering - Library and Temple Volunteer - have 250+ hours

Family Income - circa 75K

Special Awards - Black Belt, National Merit Commended

I will have taken 10 AP classes upon graduation

I am a male Indian living in San Diego

Should've included that in your original post :P
After your second post, you seem like an extremely good candidate.
I'd say you're in. You have strong SAT II scores in subjects pertinent to BioE

BioE's heavily impacted. There's no guarantee, so make sure you write good essays.

First of all, the applicant's choice of major does not enter into addmissions decisions so the fact that a major is impacted does not change the chances of admission although the applicant may be admitted to a second choice major or as undeclared. Secondly, the quality of the essay is irrelevant at UCSD. To be a "good" essay for UCSD, the essay should reference life circumstances that add points to the formula. The writing quality of the essay is specifically excluded from consideration.

i had the same-ish stats and got in a couple years ago, but not as a bioE major. (~4.2, 2120, 800/780, but less major leadership and no special circumstances)
