paranoid about getting admission canceled

So I discovered that I forgot to include a course for my junior year of high school on my UC application. The course is Piano beginning. grades are these: fall semester: B spring semester: D

I emailed admissions and they told me that excluding a B is not as serious as excluding a D grade and that it could affect my admission. I'm really paranoid and worried that my admission will be canceled because of excluding that D.

oh and that's a visual/fine arts requirement but i already met it with an Art beginning course and my weighted high school gpa is 3.93

You better tell your parents the worst case scenario.

Explaining the situation in writing (email) is probably all you can do now that you've sent it in. Honestly, I wish you the best of luck and am hoping you will be okay.

UCSD rescinding for a piano class would be stupid

um you should call the admissions office to explain the situation. Most of the time the classes that really matter are your A-G courses anyways. So as long as those courses are covered, it shouldn't be that bad...

gosh you guys are so mean on here sometimes haha. i'm sort of in a similar situation and i really doubt that they would rescind your admission for accidentally excluding that D, especially since you already completed your art credit. have a little hope you guys!

^We're not being mean, just realistic. How does UCSD honestly know that this person didn't knowingly exclude the D to up their chances of admission? I'm not saying that this is the case, but it easily COULD be, and therefore the rules are pretty strict.
I don't want to instill false hope in anyone since I've heard of at least a dozen people getting rescinded for bad grades/misreporting.

I forgot to add in two D's in Pre-calc and bio and I didn't get anything in the mail. They must not care too much about them.

^They don't review transcripts until after July 15th so I'd knock on some serious wood if I were you

Hmmm, but I called numerous times to UCSD and then I gave them my number for answer my some questions and the lady was very very kind to me. I don't think they treat you badly if they're not going to let you in right?

@ GradedPresence, do you really think that some random lady that is answering telephones knows your details and is going to be purposely rude on the phone to you because she has your file open and can see your grades? I mean, let's get real. Those people are paid to be nice when they answer phones.

And again they do not look over final transcripts and confirm details until after July 15th so there is no way this lady would have known, theoretically.

Not trying to be rude here, just realistic.

pre-calc and bio are both important indicators of how well you can handle the ucsd course load as well

i would think that if you got a D in both you would definitely be in serious trouble
