I got my transfer approved! I'm currently a freshman at UC Berkeley but I'm only here because my parents wanted me to. I wanted to go to UCSB from the beginning (it's just gorgeous down there!). I realized that Berkeley just isn't for me so I talked to the admissions people at UCSB and they told me to apply for the winter quarter. Well, I got the news a couple of days ago; I'm in! Just sent in my housing contract and should be setting up my U-mail account within the next few days. I'm just so excited right now; I had to share it. Gotta buy a ucsb hoodie soon. What can you guys tell me about life down there? How are the academics? Social life? Thanks for your help!
UCSB is at a tie w/ Davis for my second choice UC, Berkeley being the first.. but meh, i'm not gettign into cal unless the admissions people are on crack or the gods are crazy....
