Working out

Is there a nice gym at UCSB? I know some dorms include them but is there a big one at the rec center that is open to students? And also is there any pool open to students just to do laps or something even if you are not in sports?

The gym is nicer than the ones where I live, even the ones that cost over $60 a month.
