Okay, Worried About the Placement Test

Okay, so I am getting worried about the Analytical Writing Placement Test for several reasons. One, I can't find the admission ticket that UCSB sent me. I am still looking, but is there anywhere I can like print up another or something? Second, my friend who is going to UCSC had to pay like $80 or something to take it. Why do I not have to pay? Am I missing something? He said he went online and payed. Third, I am wondering how hard this thing actually is. Is it really easy, or is passing it the equivalent of getting a 680 or better on the SAT Writing section? Thanks for the help.

did you get four free applications when you applied to the UCs? if you did then there you go, you were considered low income so you didnt have to pay.

No, as a matter of fact, I didn't even get any financial aid... what is going on here? I am even more worried now.

I think it's more of a placement test than anything. It won't affect your admission (assuming you actually take it).

i passed the ap lang/comp test last year, and the website said that a passing score on an ap english test fulfilled the writing placement exam requirement. does that mean i don't do anything or do i have to contact them and tell them...?
