Santa Ynez vs. El Dorado

So I'm living in Santa Ynez for summer . . . but for Fall I'm really conflicted! I decided for sure that I want to live in an apartment but I don't know what to put as my 1st and 2nd preference. Does anyone know what are the major differences, pros/cons of living in Santa Ynez vs. El Dorado? Thanks!

santa ynez looks really nice, according to the map that is also on that page, its just about right next to campus, closer than FT. I think i remember seeing the exterior of santa ynez about 5years ago when i was helping someone move into an apartment in IV and heard that its lottery and hard to get santa ynez. Maybe i should of requested that for summer or maybe even fall.

It's not hard to get into santa ynez, I was already awarded and completed the contract for santa ynez for the summer. Its right off of campus next to i.v. Walking/ Biking distance.

I think it's a lot easier to get in for summer compared to fall.

Ah, as I posted in the other thread I'll be living in El Dorado this summer, but it sure looks like Santa Ynez is the way to go, I haven't seen either in person but from the photos I've seen on the housing website Santa Ynes > El Dorado.

Really? You should let me know how El Dorado is cause I put it as my 1st choice for summer. I heard that it's kind of easier to meet people there because of the set-up and even though it's a little more run down, if you're living with 3 other girls having two FULL bathrooms is a big plus! lol

yeah sometimes i have second thought about living off campus or even in the university apartments cause dorms are so expensive, plus those meals plans, but don't really know anybody yet to get an apartment so maybe next year
