Can current UCSB students please share your thoughts on UCSB

I was just wondering, what are your thoughts at ucsb. i mean, i am ultimately striving for ucla or cal because of prestige but a side of me wants to go to ucsb because it truly feels like a university. and at the same time, people are more laid back.

i am just worried about not being as marketable compared to ucla or cal.

And being a transfer, which dorm will I probably be assigned to? What would I need to do if I wanted to be in Santa Catalina or Mazantiza?

UCSB is one of the best kept secrets, I loooove this university. I would choose it over UCLA and Cal in a heartbeat.

You will NOT want to live in FT (Santa Catalina), Manzanita would be okay, but San Rafael will be your best bet, has the most upperclassmen living there.
