unit cap problem

The unit cap in UCSB is 200 units. Right?
If so, then I think I will definitely have a problem. It turns out that in order for me to follow the requirements in the curriculum for my major, I need to graduate with around 240 units. Is there a petition to more than 200 units?

P.S. My major is chemical engineering

have you looked at the chart at http://www.chemengr.ucsb.edu/undergr...quirements.pdf ? It doesn't seem that you'd need 240 units to fill it. You're best bet is to call the school and talk to one of the advisors in ChemE. They're sitting around all summer bored, so now is a good time to call.
