Calculators

I'm taking Math 3A this quarter and I'm going to taking a lot of math over time. So I wanted to know if we're allowed to use graphing calculators in Math 3A and higher. I don't want to end up buying one and not being able to use it. Any info is appreciated.

usually you're not allowed to use any kind of calculators on tests. on homework it's fine, but test questions are usually formed so that you won't need a calculator.

I think it depends on the professor. Some professors allow you to have a calculator, but you have to show your work in order to get most of the credits on the problems. Other questions are formed in a way that prevent calculators from being useful.
