San Clemente Parking

I am transfering to UCSB this fall and am living at San Clemente Apartments. IS the parking permit included in the housing cost or do I have to purchase it, if so how much?

To quote the San Clemente Welcome Letter:

"A valid parking permit is mandatory for all vehicles parked in our Apartment & Community Living areas. Resident permits are issued at the San Clemente Villages main office located in Arrowhead Village during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm). To obtain a parking permit, please bring your vehicle registration card. Vehicle registration must be in your family name. Please note that San Clemente permits are also valid on the main campus parking areas as “Night and Weekend” only. Campus staff “S” permits are not"

I'm assuming they are free if your living in San Clemente.

Parking is free according to the housing contract for the San Clemente apartments. But you'll need a parking permit.
