Sections

what happens if u dont goto sections. is it mandatory?

Yes, they usually take attendance in sections, and you might get dropped or loose points for not attending the discussion sections.

the 100 dollars just got cancelled. they were gonna refund it to me but it got cancelled

Think of it as part of the class. Like another day of lecture. And go. From what I gather they are pretty important.

There's probably assignments and quizzes that you have to do in your sections. I recall that section assignments are worth 20% of your total grade in pstat 5e (I think).

Yes. Go. No questions. If ANYTHING, go to the sections. You don't get graded for anything in lectures, all your grading comes from sections. If you plan on slacking out of sections, don't bother going to college.

depends on the class!

some classes will deduct points for not going (not to mention quizzes)
and others dont even take roll.....
