How to make use of office hours? and also a Q about Econ-related campus organizations

I'm a second year, biz econ major, and honestly I've never gone to any professor's OH, not even once. I just didn't feel the need to. But I think it should be a good idea to talk and get to know them. So, besides going to professors to ask questions related to class material, what else do people go see them for? Does anyone actually go there to get advice on major-related activities or careers and stuff?

Also, recently I decided to join the accounting association after having heard the accounting professors mention it and the Big Four since last year. There's a lot of information at the meetings, but the more I learn about these firms the less I'm interested in the accounting career path. And I've always been more interested in economics. But I couldn't join the Biz Econ association because it's just been dissolved. What associations are there that are more similar to the BEA??? And what are some other things that I can do? I'm gonna graduate in 3 years, so I don't have much time left *_*

Thanks a lot

Question 1: I mostly stopped by to talk about class related stuff or show outlines for essays. The main reason I felt it was important was so I could get personalized letters of recommendation for grad school.

Question 2: Check the Facebook page for BEA, they dissolved due to overlap with over groups and they have a list of similar groups there. I don't know if any of them cover your focus specifically:
