I'll be @ transfer orientation too. I hope I can talk with Housing admin and see if I can move into my college of choice my first quarter instead of transfer community

on the 20th of july right? so all the transfers are in one community? i chose other colleges for housing didnt even pick porter will it automatically put me in TC

You're not supposed to be staying at Porter for 2-3 years.

Transfer Community is only for new transfers. Those transfers who are not Porter affiliated and choose to take advantage of keeping a similar room for years beyond the first year are displacing a Porter affiliate. It's bad enough the Transfer Community exists without having more room taken up unnecessarily.

After your first year, please go back to your own affiliation. It should go without saying I have no problem if a transfer is a Porter affiliate living at Porter, though.


Disclaimer: I was a transfer myself and a Porter affiliate. I have an extreme dislike of the Transfer Community and find it ridiculous it even exists. It's demeaning.
