you can apply to transfer colleges any quarter, but it's better to jsut stick with one because that's where your friends will be. don't try to transfer until you give it a shot.

i'm an incoming freshmen so i don't have any friends yet at college... i just don't want to be stuck with more asians because i come from an area that is heavily asian infested and i want to experience a broader scope of people in college

Kobe, this may be the data you are looking for. It looks like Oakes and Crown Colleges are the winners, followed by College Nine, Ten and Eight!

I like the following data by high school/transfer college:

Top Ten Institutions of Origin of New Freshmen and New Undergraduate Transfers - 2005 Fall Quarter
http://planning.ucsc.edu/irps/Studen...nsfers-A7a.pdf

# of students
____________

34 LINCOLN HS
30 BERKELEY HS
29 SIR FRANCIS DRAKE HS
23 WASHINGTON HS
20 ALBANY HS
20 TAMALPAIS HS
20 PALO ALTO HS
19 DAVIS SENIOR HS
19 GUNN HS

142 CABRILLO COLL
057 DE ANZA COLL
038 DIABLO VALLEY COLL
030 SANTA ROSA JR COLL
023 FOOTHILL COLL
021 CC OF SAN FRANCISCO
020 MONTEREY PENINSULA COLL

I'm so glad that some asians are planning to attend UCSC.
I'm an asian female...from Los Angeles. :/ and I don't see that many asians in my area planning to attend...so it will be great to know some of you.

I want to dorm in 9 or 10, but I heard Crown is pretty diverse. It's gonna be so hard to get into 9/10...since so many people have them as their top choices
